Position: Assistant Accountant (02 Vacancies)
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and expense reports using accounting software.
- Process invoices, verify and reconcile payments, manage supplier accounts, and ensure timely payments.
- Prepare and file statutory tax returns such as VAT while ensuring compliance.
- Monitor and control company expenses with proper approval and documentation.
- Ensure accuracy in the general ledger, including journal entries, adjustments, and reconciliations.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiate terms, and handle disputes professionally.
- Calculate and record import costs (freight, duties, taxes) for accurate product costing.
Candidate Profile:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications (AAT, CIMA, ACCA) preferred.
- 3-4 years of relevant experience, preferably in seafood production or logistics.
- Audit firm experience will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Tally accounting software is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership, multitasking, and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Open to both male and female candidates.
