Join Our Team – Generator Technician
Location: Orugodawatta, Colombo
Sumathi Holdings, a leading Sri Lankan conglomerate with a diversified business portfolio, is seeking an experienced Generator Technician to join our professional team. We prioritize excellence, social responsibility, and superior value delivery across all sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair generator issues, including engine faults and motor winding.
- Perform single-phase and three-phase wiring diagnostics and repairs.
- Conduct preventive maintenance of generators and electrical equipment.
- Identify and troubleshoot induction motor faults, including motor rewinding.
- Maintain accurate service records, inventory logs, and spare parts management.
- Handle network wiring and CCTV systems, including troubleshooting and repairs.
- Provide welding support when required (an added advantage).
- Interpret technical diagrams and maintain project documentation.
- Lead and supervise a team of technicians to ensure quality and timely project delivery.
- Flexibility to work extended hours when necessary.
Candidate Requirements:
- Diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering, Generator Maintenance, or related fields.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in generator systems and electrical maintenance.
- Valid certifications in electrical safety and generator operations (preferred).
- A valid driver's license is an advantage.
