Job Opening: Merchandiser

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop samples based on the Development Team’s specifications.
• Allocate tasks to the Sample Room for efficient processing of samples and ensure smooth purchase order preparation.
• Secure sample approvals from management.
• Maintain effective communication with suppliers and manage order placements.
• Create and manage delivery schedules aligned with customer orders.

Qualifications & Experience:

• At least 4 years of experience in a similar merchandising role.
• GCE A/L and a degree or diploma in a relevant field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Sinhala.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
• Availability to work extra hours or weekends if needed.
• Prior experience working in a fashion retail environment is highly desirable.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to take on additional duties as required.
• Knowledge of product costing and experience negotiating prices with suppliers.
• Ability to track styles and ensure smooth production flow.
